The musical material of the symphony Fenêtre sur le Chaos originated from the interference between pairs of sound objects (objets-sonores) and the resulting frequency content when they modulate with each other. Chaos is not synonymous with noise; it represents not the absence of order but rather an unpredictable order or a predictable disorder. Love and death fully submit to these principles. The tremendous forces that emerge when approaching or crossing the thresholds of love or death have driven the creation of this work. Chaotic systems are inherently fragile, leading to unexpected musical territories as the piece evolves. Despite this fragility, a fixed point of reference—a gravitational center—acts always as a Lorenz attractor, maintaining the musical particles that form the cosmos of this sonic journey.
