On the occasion of a Latvia Radio 3 recording of 4 Hommages au Carré, Juris Zvikovs and Sanita Glazenburga were interviewed on a program hosted by Anna Veismane. This composition, which began as an unhappy though challenging commission by a Greek pianist—who, ironically, never performed the work in its entirety—went on to win an international prize at the Kagel Competition. It was later expanded, refined, squared and ultimately embraced with genuine enthusiasm by these outstanding Latvian musicians.
